Bio

Hi!

I'm Justin Douglas, a writer, comedian, and retired mascot based in Los Angeles. 

​

For over a decade, I worked in the museum system as a film projectionist. Working at the museum cultivated my interest in alternative education, something I'm very passionate about as my whole family are teachers... and this was my chance to fit in. 

​

And yes, I did say I was a retired mascot. For five years, I worked for a Major League Baseball team which was one of the most fun, rewarding, and sweaty jobs I've ever had.

Merging my passions for alternative education from museum work and entertainment from mascoting, I earned an MFA in Comedic Screenwriting from DePaul University with courses taken at Second City in Chicago.

My next step is to continue pursuing my passions, writing sitcoms for adults as well as educational content for children.
